We are currently focusing all of our resources on the Saturday/Sunday children’s teaching and meal program. Each Saturday and Sunday about 65 children from the Kawangware slum come into our small church where they receive Christian bible teaching, dance to Christian worship music, enjoy an outdoor activity like football (soccer) and then enjoy a nutritious meal. This current program is funded entirely by the generous donations we receive from people just like you from all over the world.
The weekend teaching and meal program is an important component of my ministry because God has called me to counsel and to take care of children, as they are all precious in His eyes.
In addition to the bible teaching, dancing, and meals, the children also come to me individually to receive counseling about many different subjects such as drug/alcohol abuse, sexual abuse/rape, HIV and other illnesses and additional problems that they may be having at home.
The Saturday/Sunday program requires financial support from people like you to endure. All funds raised for this program are used directly to purchase local foodstuffs and supplies so that approximately $.85US of every dollar is spent on the children and very little on administrative costs.
