The Rhema Hope Children’s Ministry works every day to improve the lives of impoverished children and their families living the Kawangware slum located just twenty minutes from downtown Nairobi, Kenya.
Lead by Founder and ordained Pastor Beatrice Agessa, the all volunteer team at Rhema Hope Children’s Ministry counsel children from throughout the slum who may be orphans, HIV/AIDS positive, runaways, or living in abusive homes. Each day, the Rhema Hope Children’s Ministry team meets with children and their families to help settle disputes, address medical concerns, and most importantly offer prayer and support to all that need it.
“Rhema”, Greek for “…that which is or has been uttered by the living voice…” inspired Pastor Beatrice Agessa to work in the Kenya slums and deliver a message of hope and love through the powerful gospel of Jesus Christ.
